DOMAIN REGISTRATION
The domain is a name used to locate a certain computer connected to the Internet; therefore, it is an address wherein the computer you wish to establish connection to is located. To create the domain's name in Brazil, you only need to choose a certain combination of numbers and small letters.
The registration of domain's names are made by CGI.br - Brazilian Internet Steering Committee, wherein the legal entity or natural person, resident or settled in the country, can request its application.
The validity is of 12 months, extendable upon renewal. The rights to use belong to the person who requested the register first.
